Abstract
통계청의 <경제활동인구조사>에서 “지난 주의 직장에서 고용계약 기간을 정하셨습니까”라는 설문에 “정하였다”고 응답하는 사람은 기간제 근로자로 분류된다. 상용 근로자를 대상으로 본인이 기간제 근로자라고 응답한 사람의 규모에 대한 월별 시계열 추세를 검토한 결과, 7월에 비해 8월 그리고 특정 연도의 경우 2월에 비해 3월에 기간제 근로자 규모가 단절적으로 급증하는 현상이 확인되었다. 현 직장에서의 예상 고용기간 등을 물어보는 부가조사를 실시하는 시기와 일치한다. 현 직장의 고용계약 기간에 대한 응답과 예상 고용기간에 대한 응답이 서로 일관되지 않을 경우 이를 조정하려는 심리적 효과로 인해 나타난 결과로 해석된다.
