Her publications include Peake Studies and The Journal of Evolutionary Psychology, and she will soon make her first international conference presentation at the University of Stirling, Scotland.In addition to her academic work, Ms. Hughes is also a creative writer. Her poetry recently garnered the 2006 Douglas Freels Poetry Award, and two of her novellas are slated for publication in 2006.
