Abstract

Like every year, the annual conventions of SIAM and ACMA were held in the first week of September. These are highly attended events in the automotive calendar of the country, for people look for fresh perspectives and directions. But unlike every year, something was amiss this year. There was a sense of cluelessness – not sure where the industry is headed, be it in the shortor long-term – and a feeling of helplessness – because the government gave no clear indication of lending a helping hand.
