Professor Burger approves of the other two books he reviewed, while sternly opposing mine on multiple grounds. This is intriguing, since a blurb I wrote endorsed Scaff's book when it appeared, and a long complimentary essay of mine about Goldman's book was published in Telos nearly four years ago. So if we agree about little else, Burger and I concur that the other two books he was asked to evaluate are worthy additions to "Mt. Weber."
