Abstract
The WHO's International Classification of Functioning, and Disability (ICF) has evolved from an extended multidisciplinary international revision of the International Classification of Impairments, Disabilities and Handicaps (ICIDH) and its research version, the ICIDH-2 beta version. This broader perspective of health addresses the person environment interaction and tisd context which are a major focus for occupational therapists. It provides exciting opportunities for research on the interactive nature of human functioning.
