Abstract

Individuals with psychosis have an increased risk of committing acts of violence. Providing neurobiological evidence for the extent to which violence in psychosis is driven by psychotic symptoms and/or antisocial traits could have important clinical and legal implications. White matter (WM) abnormalities have been reported in individuals with psychosis and those with antisocial traits. However, it is not clear if WM abnormalities in violent psychosis (violent PSY) resemble those previously found in non-violent psychosis (non-violent PSY), non-psychotic individuals with antisocial traits (violent non-PSY), or both.
