Abstract

Small amplitude whistler waves with K ‖ B have been studied using a numerical simulation. The dispersive properties of these waves agree with linear theory. Nonlinear wave behavior due to magnetic trapping has been observed. The trapping time is in agreement with the Palamadesso and Schmidt theory.
