Arrhythmogenic right-ventricular dysplasia/cardiomyopathy (ARVD/C) is a disease of heart muscle that is characterized histologically by fibrofatty replacement of the RV myocardium and clinically by the development of symptomatic ventricular arrhythmias. Patients with ARVD/C frequently receive implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs).
