Abstract

Children who are technology-assisted have been excluded from school in part because of conflict over payment for health care services This paper reviews educational and Medicaid policy regarding school health care services, as well as recent litigation over payment for these services, in order to highlight some of the current conflict and debate over who should pay Yet the full integration and inclusion of technology-assisted children in schools will necessitate increased cooperation between education and health care systems in terms of payment, service delivery, and public policy.
