Abstract

Resistance literature is gaining prominence in the literary world celebrating the richness of native indigenous cultures that were under colonial rule. While Moroccan literature has often captured the attention of critics with regard to local politics, extensive studies focusing on resistance literature is yet to gain momentum. This study presents how themes of resistance and struggle echo in The Moor’s Account by Laila Lalami and The Simple Past by Dris Charaibi and strives to discover the extent to which resistance becomes successful against colonial rule.
