Abstract

It hardly seems possible, but it's been two years since our Practice Analysis Task Force (PATF) convened in New York City to begin developing a description of the tasks performed and knowledge needed by wireless communications professionals. Since that time, the Delineation, as this description of practice is formally titled, has been generated, reviewed, discussed, revised, and validated, and it has become the basis for the Wireless Communication Engineering Technologies (WCET) certification examination. The first testing window for the WCET exam has now ended and candidates have been informed of their scores and outcomes.
