Abstract

This essay focuses on four fundamental issues underlying Klapwijk’s development of emergent evolution: presuppositions, mechanism, creation, and evil, building on two guiding principles relating to irreducible modalities and religious control of theories. Although more questions are raised than answered, the hope is that an appropriately structured framing of some of the key difficulties can be helpful in resolving them.
