Abstract

Denis is a 62-year-old man with Down syndrome. He lives in a residential home and is retired from a supported employment service centre. Since suffering a stroke, Denis has been relatively immobile, looking on as a spectator in themedical-social centre where he is living. Anticipating his advancing years, the team has turned to a gerontological team which will intervene in a centre for people with disabilities.
