Abstract
ABSTRACT This essay is a response to Kirt A. Shineman’s Last Words, staged at the NCA Annual Convention in November 2021. The author uses this essay to reflect upon the potential impacts of experimental, audience-activated performance work and the challenges of adapting immersive performance for conference spaces.
