Abstract
Funding for carbon capture and storage (CCS) demonstration projects is currently under lots of pressure. Phillip Marston puts forward the case that CO2-based enhanced oil recovery (EOR) offers a potential solution. To really make this work for captured anthropogenic CO2, we need to come up with an accepted accounting protocol for dealing with recycling of CO2 during EOR.
