Abstract

The pressure on the healthcare system due to the pandemic situation has exacerbated its main criticalities in terms of fragmentation, data management and lack of interconnections. There is a need to rethink the health system’s management and monitoring in a patient-centric view, in order to meet the growing demand due to extension of life expectancy and increase in chronic diseases. Innovation in technology enables patient-centricity by tying together the future healthcare system. This research aims at detecting and defining the main typologies and characteristics of innovative business models that are going to emerge in the healthcare context in the next years. Different data sources have been integrated to depict the future scenario of healthcare. At first, information available in reports, archives/documents has been analysed, in addition to conferences and 35 experts interviews available online.
