Abstract

The earliest histopathological changes of skin which eventually lead to visible psoriasis are difficult to ascertain. In recent years early cutaneous changes (“pinsized macules”) [1], “prepinsized papules” [3, 4, 9] have been studied. However, since these lesions can be identified macrospically they may reflect advanced stages of the disease process not fully representing the earliest changes leading to psoriasis.
