Abstract
In 1996, the Institute for Supply Chain Excellence of Bordeaux Business School carried out a survey that described the skills and responsibilities of the logistics manager. This study was repeated in 2004 and measured the differences between the position of the logistics manager and the Supply Chain Manager. The profiles, skills, fields of activity and the types of processes managed by the Supply Chain Manager were analysed.
