Abstract

Establishing a solid leader–staff connection through direct and regular contact is paramount to success within any practice setting. Leader rounding has been an established practice for the last 15 years, but exploring creative ways to round is needed. Limited time, multiple demands, and complex leadership needs during the ongoing COVID pandemic made it even more critical to establish robust strategies to support staff while also providing high visibility for senior leaders. Practical solutions for leader department rounding led by senior leaders are highlighted in this article.
