Abstract
Although it seems like the dissatisfiers outnumber reasons nurses enjoy OR nursing, significant strides are being made in some areas of the country, particularly in the area of compensation, better prepared managers, self-governing, and involvement in decision making. It is vital that OR managers prepare themselves in the areas of business and human resource management so that they can be effective leaders in the coming decade.
