Abstract

‘Purpose’ is defined by The Shorter Oxford Dictionary as ‘the reason for which something is done, or made, or for which it exists; the result or effect intended’. In this paper, we consider why inspection for Good Clinical Practice (GCP) is carried out, and what it achieves.
