EVIDENCE-BASED ANSWER Phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE-5) inhibitor therapy is superior to placebo for erectile dysfunction (ED) in patients with and without diabetes. No studies directly compare PDE-5 inhibitors (SOR: A, systematic review and RCT).
