Abstract
This brief essay aims to clarify the notion of subnational constitutionalism, providing a tentative description thereof and some reflections on its relevance. For this purpose, each component of this formula is investigated separately. Some of the features of subnational constitutionalism are then discussed at length, in order to put forward a particular notion of this concept.
