Abstract

An analysis of the interview by Marco Menato and Simone Volpato with Alfredo Serrai that appears in the book La bibliografia come febbre di conoscenza , Macerata, Biblohaus, 2015. Menato and Volpato have composed a text based on an e-mail conversation in which emerges a portrait of one of the greatest scholars of Bibliography, that continues to represent the excellence of Bibliographic disciplines. Serrai has established principles in connection with some sciences that gravitate around the Bibliographic disciplines, in particular with the Philosophy of Science. Serrai believes that the bibliography is a map of knowledge, an intellectual action, and not a study of the physical media (analytical bibliography) or as erudition.
