Abstract
A diffusive gas transport system for the avian eggshell is described. This model proposes that the effective ambient P O 2 , acting as the pressure head for the inward O 2 flux, must be calculated on the assumption of complete water vapor saturation regardless of the humidity of the ambient environment.
