Abstract
This paper is focused around the analysis of the sign as a full sentence made up of nouns and a predicate. Semiosis is understood as a universal process transforming energy to information. This transformation takes place within codification, which sets up both constraints to energy. The common semiotic methodology of metaphor substitution, which focuses only around nouns or discrete images, is found to be inadequate to the generative requirements of energy transformation. Therefore, a semiosis operating as a full sentence is proposed and analysed as capable of providing a dynamic infrastructure for an evolutionary transformation of energy to information.
