Abstract

In order to reduce the occurrence of traffic crashes involving buses, identifying risk points on bus routes and formulating targeted preventive measures is essential. However, the road risk points for drivers are influenced not only by road conditions but also by various factors such as driver behavior, skills, and habits. Thus, road risk points may vary among different drivers even on the same road. The accurate identification of road risk points specific to different bus drivers remains unresolved. To address this issue, this study develops a novel method, based on bus On-Board Unit (OBU) trajectory data, to identify road risk points for different bus drivers and explore the variations in road risk among them.
