Abstract

This study tries to find out about what are the most significant impacts of COVID-19 on daily labor-based workers in Kathmandu. The study tries to understand their issues and problems related to health, education, income, debt, food security and employment. The informal workers are facing several obstacles and problems, but the only thing they need at the time of pandemic is nothing more than basic needs for survival. 84 % of informal workers are not concerned about their health, education, and jobs, but are more concerned with the essential requirement of everyday life for survival in Kathmandu Valley. Everyone’s life is precious, and their life is more precious for the economy moveable; therefore they should be treated as frontline workers to vaccinate against of COVID-19, it should be carried out as soon as possible.
