Abstract

The author contends that most librarians are not fully aware of all the many and varied services offered by the British Library. In this article he outlines all of the services which are designed to help medical librarians. The various component parts of the British Library are considered in turn and it is found that all the Divisions have something worthwhile to offer.Having described each service in some detail the author concludes by exhorting readers to tell British Library staff what they want from their national library. At the end of the article a list of contact addresses and telephone numbers is given.
