Abstract
A high dynamic range (HDR) workflow was created at the film school level from capture to exhibition. With HDR being one of the newest tools adopted into professional cinema workflows, there are many different ideas on how to master HDR with no available instruction manual. This paper explores how to implement an HDR workflow and ensure HDR for the entirety of the workflow. The workflow will allow for the user to be in an HDR space from capture to exhibition with the ability to also master in standard dynamic range. This will be accomplished using resources from the Rochester Institute of Technology’s School of Film and Animation.
