Abstract

The following article is an edited version of the SRAB Annual Lecture given at the National Westminster Hall, London, 21 November 1991. The author outlines future developments likely to affect the lives of visually impaired people in the spheres of education, employment and provision for the elderly. He discusses the implications of 'Contract Culture' and stresses the need to involve consumers and users at all levels.
