Abstract

To the Editor. —It is somewhat ironic, but not surprising, that Miles does not follow his own advice. While he is busy telling other physicians of their obligation to provide free care, he is accepting payment from the Pew Charitable Trust and the Rockefeller Trust to write a two-page essay. It's too bad that he does not practice what he preaches and provide these profound insights and criticisms free of charge.
