Abstract
Ten years ago, in the article “Constructive Geography; Aims, Methods and Results” the term “constructive Nography” was used for the first time in Soviet scientific literature. It was suggested that the term should denote geographical studies dealing with gradual transformation of the natural environment for the effective use of natural resources. At the same time, it should also be used in a broader sense for defining other new scientific trends in modern geography in transition from traditional descriptive or cognirive geography to a new, higher level of development.
