Philip Wernette is an economist in the Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Michigan, and editor of the Michigan Business Revew. He taught for 18 years in the Harvard University Department of Economics and in the Graduate School of Business Administration. He left Harvard to become President of the University of New Mexico, in albuquerque, a post which he held until 1948, when he came to Michigan. He is a director and economic consultant of the Ohio Citizens Trust Company of Toledo and is a registered investment adviser.
