Audience members are asked to sing their favorite karaoke song into a microphone in a large room, which is often a theater transformed into a karaoke-friendly performance space. Their singing and musical backing track is wired from this room into a smaller “examination” room where I am stretched out on a table. A Babypod (54 kHz internal speaker) is in my vagina, which transforms my vagina into a stage for my “listening” uterus. Individual audience members are able to hear the karaoke performance wired from the other room and into my body using a stethoscope, which is placed on my abdomen.
