Abstract

The present paper summarizes the presentations and ensuing discussions of the participants of the third Evaluating Collaborative Enterprises workshop that was part of the 11th annuall 2002 IEEE Workshops on Enabling Technologies: Infrastructure for Collaborative Enterprises, held at Carnegie Mellon University, in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. We describe the workshop's mission, introduce the five papers presented, and discuss the outcomes of Evaluating Collaborative Enterprises (ECE). Paper topics addressed the development of preliminary frameworks to guide evaluation of awareness support systems and Web accessibility, and experiences with lessons learned from specific collaborative applications that address mobile teams, multi-site distance collaboration, and group development of diagram artifacts.
