Abstract

Variations in the compositions of wet-process, leadless cast-iron enamels were studied in the development of better enamels. The work was initiated in the laboratory and later was transferred to plant production where the enamels were developed to successful operation. The nonsintered ground coat and the colored cover enamel applied directly on the iron were particularly satisfactory.
