Abstract

west did a survey of alumni from various recent years on post-graduation careers and perspectives on their alma mater (Carleton was one of two colleges in the association which did not participate). Responses were received from 1,774 members of the class of 1975. One of the questions asked in what areas they wished that they had taken more courses. Foreign languages led the list for men with 21% indicating a wish to have taken more. For women in that class, foreign languages were second to art (24 and 27%, respectively).
