Abstract

Subnational level NDC target formulation is essential for achieving NDC and should be aligned with Built Back Better Agenda to maintain economic growth post COVID-19. This study aims to formulate NDC target to be implemented in Built Back Better Agenda for the West Papua Province context. It employs system dyna ics methods based on the systems thinking paradigm, non linear dynamics, and feedback control theory, and focused on systems’ structure and behavior. Results show that the sustainable development scenario is better than the conservation scenario with a total target emission reduction of NDC by 2030 is 64% or 24,91 megatons of CO2e and improves HDI and GRDP.
