Abstract

Abstract The article presents replies to questions on the possibilities and challenges of the upcoming 2017 Anniversary. The answers reflect the different confessional backgrounds of the responders with the denominations given in parentheses. The four representatives are Dr. Walter Fleischmann-Bisten (Protestant), Director of the Institute of Studies of Confessions in Bensheim; Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Thonissen (Roman Catholic), Director of the Johann Adolf Mohler Institute for Ecumenism in Paderborn; Prof. Dr. Martin Laube (Reformed), Chair of the Reformed Theology and Professor of Systematic Theology at the University of Gottingen; and Prof. Dr. Volker Spangenberg (Baptist), Professor of Practical Theology at the Theological Department of the Union of Free Church Parishes in Germany, in Elstal.
