Abstract

Abstract As education may be regarded as one of the major forces in the maintenance and spread of a minority language, in Wales substantial effort and much money are invested in teaching through the medium of Welsh. This paper examines its effect at primary and secondary school levels and the subsequent response of the University of Wales.
