Abstract

Changes to the GP contract in Wales have been agreed for 2014-15, including the removal of a third of points from the Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) and the phasing out of the minimum practice income guarantee (MPIG) over seven years.1 As part of the changes, agreed by the British Medical Association’s Welsh General Practitioners Committee and the Welsh government, 300 points will be removed from QOF, leaving a total of 669 points.
