Abstract

AbstractWe prove that a unique global in time solution to the three dimensional periodic Burger’s equation exists, in the Lebesgue-Gevrey class. Also, we establish that the long time to this solution is determined by a finite number of Fourier modes; this is useful as a numerical result. Energy methods, compactness methods, maximum principle and Fourier analysis are the main tools.KeywordsBurgers equationWell-posednessDetermining modesMathematics Subject Classification (2010)Primary 35A0135A02; Secondary 35B0535B10
