Abstract

Well-defined LaBO3 hierarchical architectures have been successfully synthesized by a designed hydrothermal conversion method. La (OH)3 nanowires were prepared through a simple hydrothermal process. Subsequently, uniform 3D LaBO3 architectures were synthesized at the expense of the La (OH)3 nanowires during a hydrothermal process. The whole process was carried out under aqueous conditions without the use of any organic solvent, surfactant, or catalyst. The as-obtained LaBO3:Tb3+ product shows strong characteristic green emission under ultraviolet or low-voltage electron beam excitation, which might find potential applications in fields of fluorescent lamps, display systems, and optoelectronic devices.
