Abstract
The All-Union Scientific-Research, Design and Technological Institute for Chemical Machinery Building has done work on development of a method of welding stainless steels in mixtures of argon with CO/sub 2/ applicable to the production of petrochemical apparatus. In the development of the welding technology, characteristics of welding in gas mixtures were evaluated in fusion of the beads, based on the external appearance of the fused beads and of macrosamples of their cross sections. Points out that the described welding method has been introduced into the Ural Chemical Machinery Production Unit. The annual savings from its introduction is 14,500 rubles.
