Abstract

1. The resistance to welding cracks during welding and heating of weldments depends mainly on the stresses in the material. 2. Reduction of internal stresses by use of a hardening phase with crystallographic parameters near those of the solid solution and ensuring slow precipitation of the hardening phase make it possible to increase the resistance of weldments. 3. The nickel alloys hardened with intermetallic phase Ni3(Nb, Al) have high heat resistance, good workability, and are recommended for welded parts operating at temperatures up to 800°.
