Welcome to the revamped resource reviews section

Abstract

Beginning with this issue, the Resource Reviews department has new coeditors, a new name, and a slightly larger scope. As the name change from “Electronic Resources Reviews” to just “Resource Reviews” suggests, we are broadening the scope of this column beyond what is traditionally considered electronic resources in libraries. We will still review those, but we will also review software and other technology tools that may or may not be library-specific but that will help our readers do their work and accomplish their goals more efficiently and effectively. The first review of this kind appears in this issue: a comparison of two online note-taking tools. Your new coeditors bring complementary expertise to this column. Emily McElroy has many years of experience purchasing, licensing, and managing electronic resources, as well as extensive collection development experience in medical and general academic libraries. Janet A. Crum, AHIP, has extensive experience managing technology in medical libraries, as well as some experience with collection development and electronic resource management. We welcome suggestions for resources to review, as well as volunteers to review them.
