Abstract

Please join us in November 2008 at Zhang Jia Jie in the northwest of Hunan Province, China. This famous city is the location of China’s first forest park - the Zhang Jia Jie National Forest Park - and a World Natural Heritage site Wulingyuan Scenic Area. The 2008 International Symposium on Trusted Computing (TrustCom-08), to be held in conjunction with the 9th International Conference for Young Computer Scientists (ICYCS-08), aims at bringing together researchers and practitioners in the world working on trusted computing with regard to security, safety, privacy, reliability, dependability, survivability, availability, and fault tolerance aspects of computer systems and networks, and providing a forum for them to present and discuss emerging ideas and trends in this highly challenging research field. While TrustCom-08 is in its first year, we got 215 high quality papers. Each paper has been carefully reviewed by at least 3 reviewers from the program committee members and we selected around 80 papers for presentation. We congratulate the authors of accepted papers and we regret that a lot of high quality submissions could not be included in the proceedings for publication.
