Abstract

The Psalter in its present form at the end of the long tradition process affects not only the individual Psalms, but also to their collection. On one point the history of the Psalter seems almost a general consensus to exist: the tradition sorts both the Psalms, as well as their collections and thus the place where the Psalter has its final shape is found to look in the Jerusalem temple; because the Psalter is considered quite common as the Hymns of the Second Temple or more differentiated than the songs and prayer in book of the post-exilic community. Kraus's opinion on the tradition and collection of Psalms has given even a very plausible version that he gives only a single seat in life for the emergence, handing down and collection of Psalms. A considerable part of the Psalms, which are attributed to the singer groups, is in the Elohistic Psalter. Keywords: Psalter; collection of Psalms; hymns; Kraus
