Abstract

State estimation techniques play an important role for the monitoring of multi-carrier energy networks. State estimation of coupled energy networks is virtually unaddressed in literature. In this paper a new static state estimator for gas distribution networks is initially presented. Based on the gas network state estimator, a single-time-scale weighted least squares state estimator for coupled power and gas distribution networks is proposed. Separated state estimations of the power and gas network are compared with the multi-domain state estimation through simulations.
